My Sunday

So, this is what my day is consisting of...

I can't remember the last day I had a Sunday Off. It has been an amazing day so far - all about football and Christmas:)
By the way... Like the Christmas tree?!?!?! Jake and I went to buy one the other day... last year we cut one down and I think we're okay with letting a few years go by before we do that again... so we bought a fake one. Honestly, I love it. Don't get me wrong - cutting down your own tree is a really fun experience. But this fake tree is perfect! (and I like things to be perfect)! It is not messy... I didn't have to spend hours decorating it... it will not carry bugs and spiders into the condo... and it will last forever. It is simple and beautiful:)

Happy Holidays everyone!

What a comeback!!!

After I got off work today, I knew I had to go straight to the bar to watch the second half of the Griz game... as ridiculous as I feel wearing my work uniform outside of work, it was necessary. When I left work at half time, my Grizzlies were down 41-14 (that is FOUR freakin' touchdowns)!!!! My team and my fans needed me... BAD! I don't really know what happened in those last 30 minutes of the game... but I do know it was AMAZING! SO amazing because my Grizzlies were able to make up those 4 touchdowns that they were down, PLUS an extra TWO! A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!! I have never seen a greater come back in the history of football (or a least one that meant more to me than this one). FANTASTIC job Griz Football Team for the 61-48 win! I am SO proud to be a GRIZ! :)

I want, I want, I WANT!!!

A Nikon D90! Jake and I went to look at cameras last night at Inkley's... and I fell in love with this camera. I think if this is all I got for Christmas I would be content for life! Ok... maybe not for LIFE, but definitely for a few years. haha! I also fell in love with a few lenses that I would love to get for it, but the camera itself would be more than enough. SO, Santa (aka: Jake, Parental units, Grandma), if all I got for Christmas was this camera, or money to buy this camera, I would be very VERY happy :)

I want these lenses too...

Griz game in Missoula

Jake and I both ended up having Saturday & Sunday off this weekend, and so I planned a last minute trip to Missoula so that we could go see a home Griz football game since Jake has never been to one, and because there were still tickets available (which seemed crazy to me because I was always under the impressions that games always sold out and if you weren't a season ticket holder or a student, that it was practically impossible to get tickets to the games).

We took the first flight out on Saturday morning and landed in Missoula 1 hour before the game was supposed to start. The shuttle driver for the hotel we were going to stay at was nice enough to drive us right to the stadium and take our luggage to the hotel to store it. We made it in plenty of time to pick up our tickets at Will Call and hike up to our seats before the pre game show. Our tickets were in the new addition to the stadium... the seats were much higher up than the lower level, but I gotta say the view was SOOOO much better. I would rather sit was up high and further from the game, than in the first row or the rowdy student section. Unfortunately, a few of the traditional game day events did not happen... like the skydivers before the game because of the cloudy weather:( ... I really wanted Jake to experience everything.

Jake @ his first home Griz game... we are waiting for the players to run out of the tunnel.

Griz players running out of the tunnel/helmet on to the field before the game.
On the field after the game. Griz won 38-10!!!

After the game, we met up with my friend Deleen at one of our favorite little spots... El Cazador... for some chips and guac! Yum Yum! After our snack, it was back to the hotel for some rest and relaxation. We ended up staying at the hotel for drinks and dinner rather than going out (mainly because my dear friend Racquel that works at the HOliday Inn gave us free drink coupons); I had the most amazing Mahi Mahi Tacos for dinner too. We called it a night pretty early so that we could get up early for breakfast before leaving town around 10am.
It was a great little trip... I hope we have the opportunity to go to another game in the near future (maybe for a playoff game?!?!?!)

Furniture Additions

Jake and I have recently added some new additions to our Condo... it feels a lot more complete now. We were getting a little worried about our hardwood floors with Miley, so we found a carpet remnant to make into an area rug. Miley is a huge fan... she likes that we can play with her and she can hold her ground now, instead of sliding all over the place.

We were running low on seating when we had friends over, because we have a dining table with no chairs. lol. Now we have 4 dining room chairs; two that we leave at the dining room table, and the other two that we put at our new desk in the sun room.I love this new desk. It is big enough that Jake and I can both sit at it, we can both look out the window at the beautiful mountains and trees in Utah, and Jake doesn't have to sit at the kitchen counter anymore. I love it!
Look at Jake working so hard... seriously, he works hard to give us a damn good life... and I try to give us a better one than he already provides:) I think we are a pretty good team...
Our new additions really makes our condo feel like a more completed home.
OH, I got a new canvas painting to put in our 2nd bedroom too... and I forgot to take a picture of it. It is SO pretty... it has beautiful fall colored maple leaves. I love autumn... seriously my favorite season of all time. I'll post pictures of it later.
P.S. Jake and I are going to fly to Missoula tomorrow morning to go watch a Griz game!!!! I am SOOOOO excited! It has been more than a year since I've been to a Griz game, and about 2 years since I've been to a home game! I can't wait to show Jake how much fun a home game can be as opposed to a road game. Last Fall we went to a Griz game in Ogden when Montana played Weber State; there were a lot of Griz fans there, and we lost:(, but it is no where near as awesome as a home game experience. Pictures of our wonderful weekend to come probably on Sunday!!!
GO GRIZ!!!

New Sunday Tradition...

"STARBUCKS SUNDAY"! Jake and I get up (relatively) early, and go to Starbucks for a delicious cup of coffee, and then relax the rest of the day watching football (or until I go to work). I think it is a fantastic tradition that I would like to continue for the rest of my life. Love it:)

Halloween Eve

Jake and I ended up going out with friends on Halloween Eve rather than Halloween night... just decided to lay low tonight. We've have had no trick or treaters which is kinda disappointing since we bought SO much candy.
Anyways, last night we went to a few house parties and then went to a bar called The Hotel in downtown Salt Lake City. Here are a few pictures from our fun night...

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
